From 22-23 September 2016, Smart Villages and ICRISAT will hold a workshop on energy and agriculture in Patancheru, Telangana, India.

The workshop will bring together experts from the domains of research, entrepreneurship, gender, ICT, business, finance, policymaking, and non-profit work to discuss the linkages between energy, agriculture and climate change, particularly as they pertain to rural villages in India and South Asia more broadly.

As part of this workshop, Smart Villages and ICRISAT invite applications from those working on these topics, including companies. Those selected will have the opportunity to give a presentation on their current work.

If you would like to apply for a place in the workshop—to which a limited number of bursaries for travel and accommodation are available—please send an abstract of your proposed presentation as well as a 1-2 page curriculum vitae. We especially encourage people based in India and South Asia to apply.

There will be an opportunity for participants and companies to exhibit their work as relevant posters.

Please send your applications to Professor Sir Brian Heap by 1 September2016:
