Community Energy Systems
We develop stand-alone off-grid clean electricity systems for communities of any size – from 5kW to >100kW. But we do more: understand community priorities and needs, add productive use technologies, and empower the communities to manage, and maintain the systems themselves.

Water is life. Our solutions replace dirty and unreliable fossil-fuel powered water pumps with renewable solutions, sustainable business models and control/monitoring technologies that reduce costs to the community whilst enhancing reliability and impact.

Industrial Automation
Complex equipment often requires special controls for optimal, efficient or safe running. We have experience and expertise in locally-appropriate and affordable industrial automation design, build and repair in challenging remote environments.
Low-cost Cold Storage
Cold storage helps farmers reduce losses and increase farm gate prices. But traditional solutions are expensive, rely on imported components, and are hard to power and maintain. We have developed low-tech, low-cost cold storage using local materials, and 100% solar powered, to deliver sustainable impact for rural farmers.

So often monitoring and evaluation is one-dimensional. We have developed an improved, broad-spectrum M&E methodology and toolkit that lets us evaluate initiatives and technologies against multiple development impact metrics, giving more useful data and evidence for technology innovators, project partners and funders

All Universities these days offer incubation support. But what about rural communities? We have developed an integrated package of technology, infrastructure, training and support – a Rural Business Hub – that allows rural communities to incubate new businesses and entrepreneurs, bringing sustainable economic development opportunities.
